How long will our charter be on the water?
Trips run up to
7 hours or until you reach the legal limit of your target species (dock-to-dock).
How many fish can we keep?
In Ohio waters:
6 walleye per angler per day.
What is the legal keeper size for walleye?
Walleye must be at least **15 inches**.
What fishing methods will we use?
Depending on conditions and the bite, Captain Kris may use jigging, trolling, casting, or drifting—whatever gives the best chance for a good catch.
When is the best time to fish Lake Erie?
Anytime! We move ports over the season to stay where the fish are biting, so you’re always in the right zone.
What is your cancellation policy?
Safety is our priority. If a Small Craft Advisory or unsafe conditions arise, we’ll cancel and reschedule your trip within the same calendar year.
Where do we meet?
We operate out of Port Clinton and Lorain, Ohio. Dock/meeting instructions are provided after booking.
What should we bring?
- Valid Ohio fishing license (ages 16+)
- Layered clothing, sun protection (sunscreen, hat, sunglasses)
- Food, drinks (non-glass) & a cooler for your catch
Do I need a fishing license?
Yes — anyone 16 or older must carry a valid Ohio fishing license.
Can kids come on the charter?
Absolutely. We welcome families and provide life jackets for safety.
How many people can join?
Up to **6 anglers** per trip.
Do you guarantee fish?
No charter can guarantee fish every time, but with Captain Kris’s expertise and Lake Erie’s reputation, your chances are excellent.
