How Do We Fish Walleyes on Lake Erie?

walleye fishing guide on Lake Erie

In the spring, Sir Walleye Charters on Lake Erie likes to jig for the spawning jacks (males in the month of April). We transition into drifting crawler harnesses and bottom bouncers in the month of May.

When summer starts to warm up in June, you’ll find our fishing charter trolling up to 20-rods with crankbaits, spoons, etc. The boat is equipped with 2 electric downriggers and a fish hawk system for speed and temperature at the lure. We will use this tactic all the way through September.
