10/13/26 Lake Erie Walleye Fishing Report — Central Basin out of Lorain
October 13, 2026
This is the saddest report of the year we’ll write. We’ve removed the boat from the water, and we’re done fishing the Central Basin of Lake Erie for the 2026 season. She’s winterized and put away for a long winter. We’ll keep up the maintenance all off-season and come back next year even stronger than ever.
For those who may not know already, Sir Walleye will no longer operate in the western basin of Lake Erie. From spring 2027 onward, we fish the Central Basin out of Lorain, Ohio only. We moved full-time to Lorain for a lot of reasons — the fishing is much better, the facilities are much nicer, and the bite is more consistent. If you’re looking for a top-notch, five-star charter service with a five-star marina and five-star accommodations, come check us out.
Stay tuned through the off-season — we’ll post Lake Erie news and events every couple of weeks to monthly, so keep an eye on the reports page.
And the water doesn’t stop for me just because walleye season is over. I’ll be running the 24’ Custom Gator Trax for Huckeye Charters, hunting Lake Erie waterfowl for the next 90 days or so. Join me for an action-packed Big Water duck hunt — just ask for Captain Kris.
Many of our clients are already on the schedule for the 2027 walleye season — we appreciate your loyalty and your early booking. We do have openings for new clients in 2027 and would love to have you aboard. Call (574) 253-8314 to book your Lake Erie walleye charter with Sir Walleye Charters.
